Sometimes I don’t know how I’m going to win…I just know I’m not going to lose. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. ~2 Corinthians 4:8-9 Have you ever felt the overwhelming feeling of when it rains it pours because things seem to keep happening? Have you ever had the feeling of you just can’t catch a break in life? Life will sometimes put you in situations where winning seems unreachable. The Apostle Paul experienced moments like this is His walk with God. Paul often experienced some very tough times that seemed insurmountable, unconquerable & unbearable. We see in particular in 2 Corinthians 4:8-9, the Apostle Paul makes a statement describing precious moments where he thought he wouldn’t make it and winning wasn’t an option. The Apostle Paul describes how they were troubled on every side but not crushed, perplexed but not in despair, persecuted but not abandoned. Paul mentions the hardships but also showed that he never lost hope or faith in these situations. Life may have thrown some situations at you that sometimes try and hide the outcomes or winning strategies for you. Your car may be having problems and you have no money in your account, and it seems there is no way out, but provision and God’s grace overcome every negative situation in our lives. The enemy comes to kill, steal, and destroy your hope and faith, but Jesus came to give us life and because of what He did, we can rest assured that even though we may not see a way or see how we will win…Victory is already guaranteed to us.
