Ask and You Shall Receive!
Matthew 7:7-8 NLT
7 “Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened”.
We have not because we ask not. So many times, the things we want or desire, we don’t receive simply because we never ask. I’m sure you have heard that if you never ask, the answer will always be NO. Opening your mouth and asking is the key to getting most things you need and some of the things you desire.
Many times in my life, I wanted something that never came into fruition simply because no one knew it was my desire. Scripture says that God knows what we need before we ask, but He still wants us to ask because He loves conversation and wants us to depend on Him for our needs.
Throughout scripture, we have countless examples of how people of God needed something beyond their reach and their ability to produce. In the book of James, he tells us that if any man lacks wisdom let him ask and God will give it to him freely. The woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5 asked and sought Jesus for a miracle, and He supplied it. Blind Bartimaeus needed his blind eyes opened, and he asked Jesus and was made whole.
The Bible is full of countless examples, and Matthew 7:7-8 tells us that those blessings are available for us also. Ask in alignment with the will of God, and all requests will be answered. God will always respond to His Word and the desires that He has put in our hearts. Asking is a key to God meeting your needs. Blessings!
