The Wisdom of Generousity

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.~ 2 Corinthians 9:8  (NLT)For most believers, it’s a joy to serve God and do what He has called us to do. It’s an even greater joy when we have everything that we need…resources, people, time, etc. What do you do when that doesn’t happen; when you don’t have the resources, people, or time? There is a remedy for that. Most often times when God gives us an assignment to do, He rarely gives us “Everything” in the beginning that we need to complete it. God will not always put it in your hand, but He does put it within your reach. It will take your faith to get you there and obtain it. Faith is the bridge that connects you to the promise.God has given us great works to do, and even when we don’t have everything we need, it’s God’s good pleasure to supply all our needs according to His riches in glory according to Philippians 4:19 (His not ours). Man’s resources are limited, but God’s resources are unlimited. That’s why Psalms 68:19 declares that “His favor is anew daily”; it never ends. Some of us have felt the frustration of thinking we don’t have the resources, people, or sometimes not enough faith to complete a task given by God for us to do.2 Corinthians 9:8 declares:

And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. When you have faith enough to trust God, He will not only give you enough to complete the endeavor, but He will also bless you with enough to bless others. God is not slack concerning His will. “God’s will…God’s will”….

We see many examples in the Bible when men and women of God were given assignments.  “They” rarely had what they needed to fulfill the assignment, but as they moved forward in faith, everything that was lacking God manifested it. In 2 Corinthians, the Apostle Paul exhorted the people to move forward and God will supply.2 Corinthians 8. Remember, when you are on a kingdom assignment, money is the currency in the earth, but faith is the currency in the kingdom, and it will require your faith to connect you to everything you need to complete the assignment.
