T.R.A.N.S.F.O.R.M. represents “MOCI’s” unique approach to functioning as a church so that we can reach the world for Christ! While each individual characteristic would not be considered distinct, our blend of all of these will empower MOCI to make a maximum impact in the world that we lead.
Transformational Teaching & Preaching Through the Gospel- The gospel changes everything. It is the “power of God” (Rom 1:16) not only for unbelievers, but for believers as well. It transforms not only individuals, but also churches, societies, and cultures at large. We will proclaim the gospel not just as a gate we pass through one time, but as a path of ongoing renewal and repentance that we are to walk each and every day of our lives. The theme of gospel-centered renewal and transformation will permeate everything we do. Mantra: “Death is necessary for life.”
Connections will be our lifeblood. Every member will be encouraged to connect to other likeminded believers so that we may all move closer to God, to each other, and to our own purpose & destiny. Authenticity will characterize our small groups. They will be a place where people can know and be known, love and be loved, serve and be served, celebrate and be celebrated.
At MOCI, our accountability to each other is this: Love and have confidence in one another. When one is weak, the body should be accountable to help. Accountability helps us to grow in our walk with Christ. When we stop growing, we become stagnate or stale. We become weak in our faith. At MOCI, we don’t want any of our brothers/sisters left behind. Ephesians 4:14-16 tells us that, “That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.”
