We believe that God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He has eternally existed in three persons (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). These three are co-equal and are one God.
About the Bible
We believe that the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God, and that men were guided by the Holy Spirit to write every word of Scripture. Therefore, the Bible is without error, and is the basis for all Christian beliefs and behavior.
We believe that man was created in the image of God in order to have fellowship with Him, but all are alienated from that relationship through sin. As a result, man is totally incapable of a right relationship with God by his own effort.
We believe that God, the Father, sent his son, the Lord Jesus to die on the cross for our sins and that his shed blood provides the sole basis for our forgiveness. Therefore, salvation can only occur when people place their faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ as the sufficient payment for their sins. Once a person places their faith in Christ…the Holy Spirit lives within them to provide the power for holy living.
About Eternal Security
We believe that because God gives man eternal life through Jesus Christ, the believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. Salvation is maintained by the grace and power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian. It is the grace and keeping power of God that gives this security.
Mind of Christ International’s Core Purpose is built on the Great Commandment and the Great Commission:
We were created to worship God from the deepest part of our heart because true worship is one thing He seeks. John 4:24 states “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship Him in spirit and truth”
Evangelism is the Spirit-led practice of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ to the unsaved.
Matthew 28:19 states “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them…”
Fellowship is the participating of spiritual friendships and communion with the community of believers.
Acts 2:42 states “They devoted themselves to…fellowship with one another.”
Discipleship is becoming fully devoted to Jesus Christ.
Matthew 28:20 states “Teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”
Ministry is learning to love people at their station in life and being willing to give a helping hand in the time of need.
Matthew 22:39 states “And the second is like it, Love your neighbor as yourself.”
